DPM CHOO Agrees to Launch a High-level Dialogue Channel on Investment with Indonesia

Deputy Prime Minister Kyungho CHOO attended the Korea-Indonesia business roundtable in Bali, Indonesia on November 14 in local time during the President’s trip to Indonesia to attend the G20 Summit held from November 13 to 15.

At the roundtable meeting, DPM CHOO and Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Coordinating Minister of Maritime Affairs and Investment of Indonesia, agreed to launch a dialogue channel on investment between the two countries’ high-ranking officials and signed the MOU.

Being mindful of the need to promote the bilateral cooperation on investment, the two leaders concurred on the launch of a high-level dialogue channel on investment as a fast-track channel for the two to reach a mutual agreement on the discovery and facilitation of cooperative investment projects.

This agreement will contribute to strengthening the bilateral economic cooperation by encouraging the two countries to devise policies for the promotion of the bilateral cooperation on investment, actively discover and implement investment projects, and help clear hurdles for the projects to be successfully realized.
