Korean FDI Posts US $17.01 Billion in Q3 2021
Korean FDI amounted to US $17.01 billion in Q3 2021, rising 58.2 percent compared with a year ago. Korean FDI net outflows were US $12.67 billion, up 54.2 percent from the same period of the previous year.

By industry, Korean FDI focused on finance and insurance (US $7.19 billion), manufacturing (US $3.65 billion), real estate and renting (US $2.37 billion), information and communications (US $1.31 billion), and wholesale and retail (US $0.47 billion),
By country, the top destinations for Korean FDI were the US (US $6.94 billion), the Cayman Islands (US $2.02 billion), Singapore (US $1.05 billion), Luxemburg (US $0.82 billion) and Indonesia (US $0.78 billion).
Korean FDI was withdrawn mostly from finance and insurance (US $1.74 billion), manufacturing (US $0.82 billion), and mining (US $0.43 billion). By country, it was largely withdrawn from the US (US $1.07 billion), Hong Kong (US $0.61 billion) and the Cayman Islands (US $0.61 billion).
