Corporate Growth Ladder Establishment Plan (For the growth of SMEs into middle market enterprises) 1) Expand support for companies graduating from the SME status ㅇ Extend the graduation grace period for tax benefits (three years → five years) ㅇ Grant SMEs listed on the KOSPI or KOSDAQ an additional two-year grace period for tax benefits (seven years in total) ㅇ Gradually reduce R&D and investment tax credits upon graduation of the SME status 2) Establish a “Growth Ladder Jump-Up Program” ㅇ Select and support 100 promising SMEs for three years ㅇ Build a network of private sector experts, including former business executives and private investment institutions ㅇ Support corporate growth - Provide vouchers for a wide range of consulting services - Put priority on SMEs for government support programs in areas such as exports and R&D 3) Provide tailored support for promising SMEs ㅇ Back up financing from commercial banks and private sector ㅇ Expand support SMEs’ M&A - Launch a dedicated M&A center in the KOTEC and collaborate with the Industrial Bank of Korea’s M&A platform ㅇ Enhance R&D support to attract private investment - Set up an R&D fund jointly invested by the fund of funds and CVC 4) Shore up support by utilizing public information ㅇ Match investors and companies - Provide technology evaluation and financial analysis information for private financial institutions ㅇ Improve convenience for companies - Facilitate easier access to policy finance - Provide tailored information for SMEs becoming middle market enterprises
